David Kraus: The Listening Room

Prelude XXI (excerpt)

(by J.S. Bach)

David Kraus ~ classical guitar

This piece by J.S. Bach is originally a keyboard composition from his "Well Tempered Clavier: Book I" and arranged for classical guitar. I have made a
note next to the title here to let the listener know that
this is an excerpt from the full piece. I rearranged and wrote an ending in the style of the music to create a finale which brings the piece to a climatic finish without having to play the rest of the piece which is a very long cadenza, and I felt for my purposes here, not necessary. This section of my website called "Chronicles" is not a CD (though I have gotten requests that make this so), but a sample of my musical background for those wanting to hear samples of what I have done and indeed still play, who may be interested in booking me to play a private affair (weddings, etc.) or for those looking to study guitar. But even without the cadenza it makes for a great musical piece and works well. I hope you agree.
